Meet the Marriage and Family Therapists of Roots Relationship Therapy
At Roots Relationship Therapy, we believe that healing and growth happen in the context of safe, supportive relationships. Our therapy team of three dedicated therapists brings a blend of warmth, empathy, and clinical expertise to every session. Each member of our team has their own style, training, and specialties, yet we are united by a shared passion—helping people feel understood, valued, and empowered both in their relationships and within themselves.
We understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, and we want you to know you’re not alone in the process. From your first session, our therapy team works to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of criticism. Whether you’re facing a challenging season in your relationship, navigating a major life transition, or wanting to strengthen your personal connections, we meet you where you are and walk alongside you with care and compassion.
Our approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs. We take time to understand your story, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and explore new ways of relating that foster deeper connection and resilience. Drawing on evidence-based practices and a family systems perspective, our therapists help clients address underlying dynamics, improve communication skills, and build emotional safety.
In working with our therapy team, you’ll find more than just skilled clinicians—you’ll find people who are committed to your growth and well-being. We believe in the power of relationships to transform lives, and we are here to support you in creating the strong, healthy roots that allow you and your relationships to truly thrive.
Meet Our Intern!
Katie Beers is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern completing her graduate degree at Arizona State University. She approaches therapy with the belief that each person has an inner wisdom that can guide healing. She is attentive to the emotional, relational, and systemic dynamics that influence what brings people to therapy. She recognizes how trauma, chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, and misaligned relational patterns can shape lived experience over time. Katie’s approach is collaborative and systems-based, emphasizing safety, connection, and a deep respect for the contexts in which people live and struggle.
